SkinCeuticals Micropeel exfoliates the skin, helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines, soft wrinkles, and pigmentation.  A Micropeel treatment starts with dermaplaning the skin to remove dead skin and vellus “peach fuzz”.  Next, an application of glycolic acid is applied to the skin for a deeper exfoliation, to unclog pores, increased collagen production, and the acceleration of skin cells, all which promotes a healthy and youthful glow. This fundamental exfoliating process is safe, painless and gentle enough for immediate make-up application.

SkinCeuticals Micropeel Plus is a salicylic acid peel, which is a beta hydroxy acid that has an exfoliating effect on the skin. It can remove excess sebum (oil) and reduce sebum production, making it an excellent ingredient for unclogging pores. This is why it is used most often to treat acne, control oil, and reduce the appearance of black heads and pigmentation. Salicylic acid peels are so popular because there is little to no down time. Patients will experience dryness and possibly some light peeling; within a few days skin is smoother, clearer, and less oily. For best results patients should have a series of 3-6 treatments every 2-4 weeks depending on the condition of their skin.
