TCA Acid Peels
Types of Acid Peels We Offer
We offer glycolic, salicylic and TCA acid peels. The TCA peel exfoliates and renews the skin at a deeper level than any other peel we offer, which means more potent and longer lasting results. The TCA peel is comprised of the application of trichloroacetic acid and helps with sun damage, facial wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and pigment abnormalities. The outer surface layers of skin will shed, allowing new, healthier skin to emerge.

Best Candidates
TCA peels can be done on the face, neck, chest and hands. The TCA peel is ideal for patients with significant sun damage, wrinkling, or uneven skin pigmentation.
TCA Peel Procedure
The TCA peel will be applied to your skin and left on for a set amount of time before being neutralized and removed. You will likely feel a burning sensation during the TCA peel, which is normal. After the TCA peel, your skin will be red and you may experience some swelling. These side effects are temporary and will resolve within 7-10 days.
The TCA peel is a medium depth peel and may require a series of peels for optimal results. The number of peels required will be determined by your skin condition and desired results. TCA peels are usually done every 4-6 weeks.
Recovery and Results
Recovery from a TCA peel is similar to that of a glycolic or salicylic acid peel. Your skin will be red and sensitive after the peel, but you can expect to see visible results within a few days. TCA peels are safe for most skin types, but patients with dark skin may be at risk for developing hyperpigmentation.
TCA acid peels are an excellent way to improve the appearance of your skin and can provide you with long-lasting results. If you are interested in learning more about TCA acid peels, please contact our office to schedule a consultation with our esthetician.
